Taking online services to another level by providing convenience and tangible benefits to the public, the Governor Punjab and Administrator Chandigarh, Sh. V.P. Singh Badnore announced the waiving off  MDR charges on online payment on Sampark  portal and also launched a new mode of online payment via Bhim-UPI QR code. 

    Launching these new facilities for the City residents today at Punjab Raj Bhawan , the Administrator said, “ Waiving off the MDR on Internet banking & debit/credit card usage and launching Bhim Upi mode of payment is a substantial move in the current scenario as it will encourage citizens to experience the transactional ease of digital payments which will immensely pay off in the long term”. He said now citizens have to pay nil transaction charges while making electricity & water payment or property tax through net banking, debit card & credit cards of any bank atwww.sampark.chd.nic.in and for those who are into mobile banking and don’t want to use their debit or credit cards can make payments through Bhim UPI by scanning the QR code through their mobile using BHIM/UPI mobile app of any bank with nil transaction charges. 

    Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. Ajoy Kumar Sinha, IAS, Finance Secretary, Sh. Jitender Yadav, IAS, Special Secretary Information Technology, Sh. Arjun Sharma, IAS, Director Information Technology were also present. This move will also address long pending demands of citizens of waiving of the MDR Charges on all online transactions. MDR or any other charge will not be levied on the citizens or department and this facility will be extended to the general public through AXIS Payment gateway which is the banker to facilitate banking services for the sampark project. This will give boost to cashless transactions by encouraging more citizens to opt for digital transaction.

  Earlier to make online payment citizens were levied with Rs.10/- transaction charges for internet banking, 0.90% transaction charges for payment above Rs. 2000/- through debit card & 1% transaction charges for payment through credit card. Now with the integration of AXIS bank gateway all transaction charges are nil irrespective of payment is being made through internet banking, debit/ credit card of any bank or either through mobile  phone  by downloading “e-sampark Chandigarh” mobile app which is available on Google Play Store for android user and on App store for  i phone user. 

     Over the period of time people have moved to digital transaction modes of  debit/credit card and net banking for making cashless payment but these methods of electronic  payments have strings attached to it in terms of cost of owning and running swipe machines. To further give impetus to cashless transaction by simplifying methods of digital transaction, SPIC in association with AXIS Payment Gateway, integrated  bhim QR code and bhim/UPI app mode of payment in samaprk portal so that citizen can make easy payment through this apps as well without using debit/credit card. 

    Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) app provides fast, secure, reliable medium to make digital payments through mobile phone using UPI (Unified Payment Interface) platform via Mobile App.  After downloading the BHIM/UPI app of any bank, give necessary permission and verify mobile number linked with bank account. Register your bank account with BHIM, and set a UPI ID & PIN for the bank account. Users can first create their account on www.sampark.nic.in and after login select payment through bhim/UPI and provide your required payment address (PA) or by scanning the displayed QR code and you can simply start transacting and make your electricity, water and property tax payments with click of button. The Bhim QR is a streamline system which will reduce the technological problems and people will not suffer from card loss or card expiry problems. It is the easiest method of payment for users by scanning the QR code through your mobile. Payment made through QR code will directly get transferred to the bank accounts. Bhim QR code will be convenient for those who are into mobile banking and who don’t want to use debit or credit cards for small payments. For making payment, user will need bank UPI app or BHIM app installed in their phone. While making payment you have to open the app and tap on scan QR code or Scan & pay and scan the QR Code. Once the code is scanned, the amount that has to be paid needs to be entered along with a remark and passcode. As soon as the authentications get completed, the money will get transferred to the respective bank account of the department.

CSIR-CSIO is conducting a Management Development Programme on Operation, Maintenance & Calibration of BIOMEDICAL EQUIPMENT from 1st October - 26th October 2018 at CSIO Chandigarh. The programme is sponsored by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi. There are 16 foreign participants from countries like Mauritius, Mongolia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iraq, Namibia, Oman, Kyrgyzstan, Sudan and Zambia etc. with work backgrounds of Biomedical, Electrical, Electronics and Physics.

      The program aims to impart specialized training to foreign delegates from different countries in the area of Biomedical Instrumentation. Prof. R. K. Sinha, Director CSIR-CSIO, interacted with the participants and briefed them about the ongoing activities of CSIR-CSIO.      PG Department of Commerce and Business Administration organised a workshop on Extra- Ordinary Ads in collaboration with Pearl Academy New Delhi “A Day With Pearl” today. The students of M.Com B.Com. and BBA participated in the workshop. Students got an insight on formulating an extra ordinary advertisement which will be simple, memorable, inviting, strong and useful. The keynote speaker for this workshop was Ms. Anita Bora, Assistant Professor, Pearl Academy. Presentation on Advertising was shown to the students and they were asked to form an advertisement at their own. Students presented their ideas by making ads on chart papers and communicating it to the audiences. The best team won various prizes from Pearl Academy, New Delhi.

The students of Government Home Science College bagged many prizes in various competitions of Music and Fine Arts held on the first day of Zonal Youth and Heritage Festival held at Dev Samaj College for Women Sector 45, Chandigarh on October 3, 2018. In Music, the college secured IIIrd position in the Bhajan category. The Bhajan team of the college comprised of Arpita from M.Sc (CT) Ist semester, Mansi,Samridhi, Rhythm and Mrinalni respectively  of B.Sc (H.Sc) IIIrd Semester, Parwaz and Devakshi of B.Sc (H.Sc) Ist Semester. In the category of Fine Arts, Rashmita of  B.Sc (H.Sc) IIIrd Semester won IInd prize in poster making and IIIrd prize in clay modeling. Priyanka of B.Sc (H.Sc) Ist Semester bagged IIIrd prize in Collage making. Principal Professor Sudha Katyal congratulated the winners and mentors of the team.

Teams from 12 states and Union Territories tested their mental fibre and physical strength from 26^th to 29^th Sept 2018. Amisha and her team defeated Vidya Bharti, Assam in the semi-final round to get silver.Sr.Principal Mrs.Vineeta Arora felicitated Amisha in the Morning Assembly and commended her achievement.

    नवनियुक्त चंडीगढ़ इंटक के प्रदेशाध्यक्ष नसीब जाखड़ ने अपनी नियुक्ति पर इंटक के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष डॉक्टर जी संजीवा रेड्डी और हरियाणा इंटक के अध्यक्ष अमित यादव दिल्ली के अध्यक्ष जिले सिंह समेत इंटक के राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी और चंडीगढ़ के सभी संगठनों का धन्यवाद किया और नसीब जाखड़ ने कहा कि इंटक संगठन देश की बारह ट्रेड यूनियनों में सबसे बड़ा संगठन है जिसके पूरे भारत में तीन करोड़ 33 लाख में सदस्यता है और जाखड़ नें कहा कि जो संगठन ने जिम्मेवारी सौंपी है उसे ईमानदारी और मेहनत से काम करते हुए हजारों मजदूर और कर्मचारियों की मांग सरकार और अधिकारियों तक पहुंचा कर सभी वर्गों का हक दिलाने का काम करेंगे क्योंकि आज ऐसा कोई वर्ग नहीं है जो सरकार की नीतियों से परेशान होकर धरने प्रदर्शन ना कर रहा हो। कच्चे कर्मचारियों को पक्का नहीं किया जा रहा सुप्रीम कोर्ट के निर्णय अनुसार समान काम समान वेतन नहीं दिया जा रहा ।आउटसोर्सिंग ठेका प्रथा बंद नहीं हो रही और चंडीगढ़ में डोर टू डोर कूड़ा उठाने वाले कर्मचारियों का निजीकरण करके प्राइवेट कंपनी के हाथों में दिया जा रहा है इन सभी वर्गों के हक की लड़ाई लड़ने के लिए संघर्ष करेंगे और सभी संगठनों से अपील की कि इंटक संगठन के साथ मिलकर काम करें ।

      इस गीत की शूटिंग के दौरान बहुत ही मज़ा आया । मैंने और पूरी स्टार कास्ट ने इस गीत को फिल्माते समय बहुत ही मस्ती की। मुझे पूरा विश्वास है कि दर्शक इस गीत में मेरी और नीरू बाजवा की केमिस्ट्री को पसंद करेंगे।" म्यूजिक डायरेक्टर दीप जंडू ने कहा,"मैंने अमृत मान के साथ पहले भी बहुत काम किया है पर ब्लड विच तू बहुत ही ख़ास है। इस गीत में फिल्म के सारे रंग मौजूद हैं। मैंने पहले भी पंजाबी फिल्मों के लिए गानों को संगीत दिया है पर इस बार का अनुभव और भी बेहतरीन रहा। दर्शक इस गीत को इसके अलग होने की वजह से पसंद करेंगे।" फिल्म की मुख्य अदाकारा नीरू बाजवा ने कहा,"ब्लड विच तू एक ऐसा गीत है जो दर्शकों को नाचने के लिए मजबूर करेगा।दीप जंडू ने इस गीत को लाजवाब संगीत दिया है। दर्शक इस गीत को यकीनन पसंद करेंगे।" फिल्म के प्रोडूसर चरनजीत सिंह वालिआ और तेगबीर सिंह वालिआ ने कहा, "जैसे कि फिल्म के रिलीज़ होने में कुछ ही दिन बाकी हैं तो हम बहुत ही उत्सुक हैं। हाल ही में इसके पहले गीत की रिलीज़ और दर्शकों से मिल रहे प्यार ने हमारा उत्शाह और भी बड़ा दिया है। जैसे की अभी तक सिर्फ एक ही गीत रिलीज़ हुआ है पर आटे दी चिड़ी का पूरा संगीत एल्बम बहुत ही अच्छा है। हमें उम्मीद है कि दर्शक इसको खूब पसंद करेंगे।" आटे दी चिड़ी को पूरे विश्वभर में मुनीश साहनी की कम्पनी ओमजी ग्रुप वितरित करेगी ।

उत्तर भारत का पहले गांधी संग्रहालय का गांधी स्मारक भवन, सैक्टर 16 में पंजाब के राज्यपाल व चंडीगढ़ के प्रषासक वी.पी.सिंह बदनौर ने 02.10.2018 को गांधी जयन्ती के षुभ अवसर पर उद्घाटन किया। राज्यपाल ने गांधी जी की प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण भी किया और पौधा भी लगाया। इस अवसर पर भारी संख्या में उपस्थित लोगों में उच्च अधिकारी, गांधी स्मारक निधि के पदाधिकारी व समाज सेवक उपस्थित थे जिनमें चंडीगढ़ के मेयर देवेष मोदगिल, राज्यपाल के सचिव, जे.एम.बालामुरगन, के.के.षारदा, अध्यक्ष गांधी स्मारक निधि, डा. देवराज त्यागी, प्रेम विज, राकेष पोपली, नलिन आचार्य, आदि भी उपस्थित थे । इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए राज्यपाल बदनौर ने कहा कि महात्मा गांधी जी अपने अद्वितीय योगदान के लिए राष्ट्रपिता बने। लाल बहादुर षास्त्री को याद करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि वे सादगी के प्रतीक थे। उन्होंने गांधी संग्रहालय के लिए पांच लाख रुपये देने की घोषणा की । इस अवसर पर ब्ल्यू बर्ड स्कूल के बच्चों तथा बी.डी.शर्मा ने गांधीजी के प्रिय भजन प्रस्तुत किये । राज्यपाल ने संग्रहालय की स्थापना में योगदान देने वाले लोगों को सम्मानित किया ।

    इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए षारदा ने कहा कि यह संग्रहालय दिल्ली के बाद पहला संग्रहालय है। इसमें गांधी जी के जीवन पर चित्र और उनके आज़ादी के आंदोलन को दर्षाया गया है। इस संग्रहालय में जेल भी बनाई गई है जो मुख्य आर्कषण है। संग्रहालय में फोन भी लगाये गए हैं जिसको उठाते ही गांधीजी का संदेष सुनाई देगा जो युवकों को उत्साहित करेगा ।

   A drawing and painting was organised at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Sector 30-A, here today, in which children from Chandigarh, Manimajra, Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur and nearby areas took part. The competition was inaugurated by Dr. (Smt.) J.K. Cheema Ji with Nirankar’s simran. Also present on this occasion was Shri Navneet Pathak Ji, Sanyojak Chandigarh, and Shri Jaigopal Ji.

      Offering her blessings to the children, Smt. Cheema Ji said that all the participants of the competition were indeed fortunate to be part of this healthy learning environment. Adding to this, Smt. Cheema Ji told the children that even if they participate in their respective school and college competitions, participating in the task and competition of the Mission is indeed a great task. She also sought blessings from Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji  Maharaj, for all the participants. 

In addition to this, Shri Navneet Pathak Ji said that besides academics, it is important to cultivate spiritual service, service to the nation and service towards humanity in children, and such competitions play an important role in that.
