Law students present  Nukkad Natak about Drug abuse and child abuse

The students of Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh today took an initiative to spread awareness among the children on the pressing issue of Drug abuse and child abuse. The students of the Department of Laws assembled at D.A.V. Model School, Sector 15 on November 13, 2018 and presented a Nukkad Natak and held an interaction with the students on the aforesaid issues. The students presented a Nukkad Natak on the menace of drug abuse. They spread a message on the disadvantages and the determined effects of indulging in the use of drug. The Nukkad team comprising of Nicky Sundolia, Pragati Loctus, Mukul Garg, Mohit Kamboj, Jonny Mittal and Shivam Riya held a very interactive session with the students. They also had an interaction with the students on the problem of child abuse. Mehak Kaur and Manik Mahajan told the students on the problem of child abuse. They told students about the ways in which this problem is spreading and the ways to avoid and stop it. With the support of their senior Devak Soni, they were able to interact with the students in a fruitfull and productive manner. The initiative taken by the students was a part of their series of activities undertaken by the Legal Aid Clinic of Department of Laws, Panjab University. The Legal Aid Clinic functions under the able Chairpersonship of Prof. Meenu Paul (Head of Department of Laws), Prof. Devinder Singh (Professor Incharge, Legal Aid Clinic) and with the support of Dr. Supinder Kaur (Secretary, Legal Aid Clinic, Associate Professor, Department of Laws). A plethora of eye opening acts and performances have been presented by the students of Legal Aid Clinic lately including interactive session with students of Ankur School and Department of Laws. The students and staff of D.A.V. Model School, Sector 15, Chandigarh were very happy and contended with the performance of the students. The Principal of the school Mrs. Anuja Sharma stated that it was a gift from her to the students on account of Childrens Day.
