The University School
of Open Learning (USOL), Panjab University, Chandigarh organized Placement
Orientation Session for the students for registration with Employment
Exchange, Chandigarh. Ms. Meenakshi Goyal, Sub Regional Employment
Officer, University Employment and Information and Guidance Bureau, Panjab
UniversitySector-14, Chandigarh gave a presentation on manual registration
as well as on-line registration on National Career Service Cell of Govt.
of India (www.ncs.gov.in). She
sensitized students about the advantages and opportunities available to
them for employment in the public sector. As many as 100 students form the
various streams such as M.B.A, M.COM, M.A. and B.ED. of USOL enthusiastically
attended the event and their queries were addressed. The University School
of Open learning, Panjab University, Chandigarh, also observed World Day
of Social Justice, in which Prof. Rattan Singh,
Chairman, University Institute of Legal Studies, PU delivered a special
lecture. By citing many important cases, he presented the present
scenario of Social Justice in India and also raised the issue about
handling many challenges in this regard. The lecture was attended by
students and faculty members of USOL.
