Action against Gambling/satta
Chandigarh Police arrested Hardeep Kumar R/o Village
Mullanpur, Distt. Mohali, PB, Age-33 years while playing satta and recovered
cash Rs. 3600/- from his possession near Balaji Iron Store, Sarangpur,
Chandigarh on 15.01.2024. A case FIR No. 05, U/S 13A-3-67 Gambling Act has been
registered in PS-Sarangpur, Chandigarh. Later, he was bailed
out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under Arms Act
Chandigarh Police arrested Kausal R/o Village
Surajpur, Distt. Panchkula, HR, Age 19 years and recovered one kamanidar knife
from his possession near Chowk, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on 15.01.2024. In this
regard, a case FIR No. 04, U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in
PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Snatching
Govindan R/o # 7AG Block, Ezhil Nagar, Perunbakkam, Chennai
reported that two unknown person on motorcycle snatched away complainant’s
mobile phone having Aadhar card and cash Rs. 1000/- in its cover near Rock
Garden, Chandigarh on 07.01.2024. A case FIR No. 01, U/S 379A, 34 IPC has
been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Culpable homicide
A case FIR No. 06, U/S 304 IPC has been
registered in PS-26, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident
of Sector-28, Chandigarh who alleged that her brother-in-law namely Paras
quarreled with complainant’s husband Tika Ram, Age 41 years near his
residence on 13.01.2024. Resultantly complainant’s husband sustained
injuries and expired during treatment at GMCH-32, Chandigarh. Alleged
person Paras R/o Village Shanti Nagar, Ward No. 3, PS-Chiraghat,
PO-Tulsipur, Distt.-Dang, Nepal, Age 37 Years has been arrested in this case.
Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
Rakesh Kumar R/o # 1320, Ph-1, Ram
Darbar, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away one battery of
Complainant’s E-Rickshaw No. PB/65/TC/2019/07 parked near his house
on night intervening 14/15-01-2024. A case FIR No. 07, U/S 379 IPC has
been registered in PS-31, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
