Celebration of World Intellectual Property Day

Chandigarh : Panjab University Chandigarh celebrated World Intellectual Property Day on 26 April 2018. The theme of World Intellectual Property Day this year was Powering change: Women in innovation and creativity. A workshop for spreading awareness about IPR and patent filing was jointly organized by Center for Industry Institute Partnership Programme (CIPP), University Institute of Engineering and Technology and Punjab State Council of Science & Technology, Chandigarh under TEQIP-III Program.
Experts from Industry appraised Faculty and Research Scholars about Indian and International Processes for Patent Filing and procuring Rights. The contribution of Women in IPR around the world was acknowledged by all. On this Occasion, Prof Arun Grover, Honourable Vice Chancellor PanjabUniversity Chandigarh Felicitated the Faculty members and research students for extending various intellectual activities during last year. The Hony Director, CIIPP shared last year, 8 patents were filed and consultancy from various heads amounting to ~1 crore was raised besides transfer of three Technologies by the faculty at Panjab University, Chandigarh.
