मैक्स सुपर स्पेशियलिटी हॉस्पिटल, मोहाली ने 24x7 ‘इमरजेंसी मेडिकल एंड ट्रॉमा केयर सर्विसेज’ की शुरुआत की है। इन सर्विसेज , जिसे इमरजेंसी फोन नंबर 7710777107 डायल करके इस्तेमाल किया जा सकता है, में फस्र्ट रिस्पोंडर (एफआर) बाइक्स भी शामिल हैं जो सडक़ हादसों का शिकार मरीजों को तेजी से और समय पर मेडिकल सहायता प्रदान करेंगी। इससे मरीजों की जान बचने की संभावनाएं और भी बढ़ जाएंगी । चंडीगढ में आज एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस को संबोधित करते हुए डॉ.रमेश सेन, सीनियर डायरेक्टर एवं हैड, मैक्स इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ ऑर्थोपेडिक ने कहा कि ‘‘ये सर्विसेज डायरेक्ट हॉटलाइन इमरजेंसी रिस्पांस सेंटर के साथ अत्याधुनिक इमरजेंसी मेडिकल एंड ट्रॉमा केयर सर्विसेज प्रदान करेगा। ये सेंटर पूरी तरह से लाइफ सेविंग उपकरणों से सुज्जित बाइक रिस्पांडर से भी लैस है जो कि किसी भी मेडिकल इमरजेंसी की स्थिति में तुरंत रिस्पांस करेगा और इसके साथ ही एडवांस्ड लाइफ सपोर्ट एम्बुलेंस भी होंगी । डॉ.सेन ने कहा कि घायल व्यक्तियों की विकलांगता, सिर में लगी किसी चोट को समय पर संभालने और हादसों के दौरान मरीजों की मौत की संभावना कम करने के लिए ये सेंटर समय पर, प्रभावी और गुणवत्तापूर्ण इमरजेंसी केयर सेवाएं प्रदान करेगा। डॉ.सेन ने कहा कि मैक्स हॉस्पिटल, वास्तव में एम्बुलेंस के साथ इमरजेंसी बाइक रिस्पांडर्स को लॉन्च करने के लिए भारत का पहला प्राइवेट हॉस्पिटल नेटवर्क है ।

      डॉ.सेन ने बताया कि एफआर बाइक्स, का संचालन एक प्रशिक्षित इमरजेंसी मेडिकल टैक्नीशियन (ईएमटी) द्वारा किया जाएगा और ये कम से कम समय में मेडिकल मदद की जरूरत वाली जगह पर पहुंचेंगी। बाइक रिस्पांडर, प्रमुख तौर सभी प्रकार के ट्रॉमा और हेल्थ इमरजेंसीज को संभालने के लिए सुसज्जित है और एम्बुलेंस के आने के दौरान सडक़ पर काफी अधिक भीड़भाड़ होने की स्थिति में समय पर मदद प्रदान करेंगी। इससे समय की काफी अधिक बचत होगी। इस पर तैनात पेरामेडिक एडिमिनिस्टर जरूरी फस्र्ट एड प्रदान करेगा और इस दौरान पूरी तरह से से जान बचाने वाले उपकरणों से सुज्जित वैन और डॉक्टर पहुंच कर आगे का उपचार प्रदान करना शुरू कर देंगे ।

भारतीय पुलिस सेवा के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी, श्री के0 के0 शर्मा 32 वर्षों से अधिक की बेहतरीन सेवाएं देने के बाद आज सेवानिवृत्त हुए । उनके सम्मान में पुलिस मुख्यालय, पंचकूला में एक विदाई समारोह का आयोजन किया गया l इस अवसर पर पुलिस महानिदेषक, श्री बी0 एस0 सन्धू, अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक, हरियाणा पुलिस हाउसिंग कोरपोरेषन श्री परमिंदर राय, पुलिस महानिदेशक, राज्य मानवाधिकार आयोग डा के पी सिंह, पुलिस महानिदेशक कारागार, श्री के सेल्वराज, पुलिस महानिदेशक मुख्यालय, श्री के के मिश्रा, पुलिस महानिदेषक अपराध श्री पी के अग्रवाल, अतिरिक्त पुलिस महानिदेषक, कानून एवं व्यवस्था मोहम्मद अकील,  अतिरिक्त पुलिस महानिदेषक  संचालन श्री ए एस चावला, अतिरिक्त पुलिस महानिदेशक श्री शत्रुजीत सिंह कपूर, पुलिस महानिरीक्षक श्री एम रवि किरण, श्री संजय कुमार, श्री राजेंद्र कुमार व श्री सिबास कबीराज व मुख्यालय के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारी भी उपस्थित थे। सेवानिवृति के मौके पर हरियाणा पुलिस के सभी अधिकारियों व कर्मचारियों ने उन्हें बधाई व शुभकामनाएं देते हुए उनकी दीर्घायु की कामना की । के. के. शर्मा, डीजीपी रैंक की सेवा में सेवानिवृत्त हुए । फिलहाल वे  हरियाणा विद्युत प्रसारण निगम में निदेशक सतर्कता के तौर पर कार्यरत थे । जहां उन्होंने लगन और समर्पण के साथ कार्य करते हुए अपने कर्तव्यों का निर्वहन किया। जिला यमुनानगर से संबंध रखने वाले श्री शर्मा, 1986 बैच के आईपीएस अधिकारी है। अपने 32 वर्षों के सेवाकाल के दौरान, वह विभिन्न महत्वपूर्ण प्रमुख पदों पर तैनात रहे। उन्हें सराहनीय व उत्कृष्ट सेवाओं के लिए 2005 में पुलिस पदक और वर्ष 2012 में राष्ट्रपति पुलिस पदक से सम्मानित किया गया ।

आधुनिकीकरण की दिशा में एक और प्रमुख पहल करते हुए, हरियाणा पुलिस महानिदेशक (डीजीपी), श्री बी0 एस संधू ने आज हरियाणा पुलिस के अपराध और आपराधिक ट्रैकिंग नेटवर्क एवं सिस्टम (सीसीटीएनएस) प्रौजेक्ट के साथ मेडिको लीगल मामलों से संबंधित अस्पताल के आंकड़ों के एकीकरण का अनावरण किया । पुलिस मुख्यालय, पंचकूला में आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम में डीजीपी मुख्यालय, श्री के.के. मिश्रा, डीजीपी अपराध श्री पीके अग्रवाल, एडीजीपी (कानून और व्यवस्था) मोहम्मद अकील, एडीजीपी संचालन और आईटी, श्री ए एस चावला, आईजीपी प्रशासन डॉ एम रवि किरण, आईजी हिसार रेंज, श्री संजय कुमार, आईजीपी सीएमएफएस श्री राजिंदर कुमार और अन्य वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारी भी उपस्थित थे ।

         परियोजना के बारे में संक्षिप्त जानकारी देते हुए, श्री ए एस चावला, जो सीसीटीएनएस परियोजना के नोडल अधिकारी भी हैं, ने अवगत कराया कि हरियाणा प्रदेश देश के कुछ राज्यों में से एक है जिसने पुलिसिंग को ओर अधिक पारदर्शी और प्रभावी बनाने के लिए सीसीटीएनएस के माध्यम से अस्पताल और पुलिस विभाग को एकीकृत किया हैं । उन्होंने कहा कि सीसीटीएनएस के साथ अस्पतालों का एकीकरण हरियाणा पुलिस की मौजूदा आईटी प्रणालियों में एक बड़ा सुधार है । इस एकीकरण के माध्यम से, पोस्ट-मॉर्टम रिपोर्ट (पीएमआर) और मेडिको लीगल रिपोर्ट (एमएलआर) को सीसीटीएनएस परियोजना में पुलिस अधिकारियों द्वारा देखा या डाउनलोड किया जा सकता है । अस्पतालों के लिए, एफआईआर विवरण जिला, पुलिस स्टेशन, एफआईआर नंबर और तिथि के संयोजन के आधार पर पीडीएफ और ग्रिड दोनों प्रारुप  में उपलब्ध हैं ।

    A warm send-off was accorded to Sh. K.K. Sharma, IPS, who retired today on attaining the age of superannuation after putting in over 32 years of service in various capacities. In his honour, a farewell meeting was organized at Police Headquarters, Panchkula where Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu, CMD Haryana Police Housing Corporation, Mr Parminder Rai, DGP Haryana Human Rights Commission, Dr K.P. Singh, DGP Prisons, Mr K. Selvaraj, DGP Headquarters, Mr K.K. Mishra, DGP Crime Mr P.K. Agrawal, ADGP (law and order) Mohd. Akil, ADGP and CMD Power Utilities, Mr Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor, ADGP Operations, Mr A.S. Chawla, IGP Admn. Dr M. Ravi Kiran, IG Hisar Range, Mr Sanjay Kumar, IGP CFMS Mr Rajinder Kumar, IGP Mr Sibash Kabiraj along with other senior Police Officers were present. All the officers wished Mr Sharma a happy and healthy post retirement life. Mr Sharma retired in the rank of DGP on attaining the age of superannuation. He was posted as Director Vigilance HVPNL where he performed his duties with utmost interest and dedication. Mr Sharma, who hails from district Yamunanagar was inducted into Indian Police Service in year 1986. During his 32 years service, he remained posted on various important key posts.  In recognition to his excellent services and devotion to duty throughout his services, he was decorated with Police Medal in 2005 and again awarded with President’s Police Medal in year 2012.

    CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation today celebrated its Foundation Day. Professor Shyam Sunder Pattnaik, Director, National Institute of Technical Teachers & Research, Chandigarh gave an inspiring, motivating and thought provoking Foundation Day Lecture “Reorienting Research for Industry 4.0”. In his lecture he emphasized on the importance of R&D Internet of Things and said that it will be instrumental in achieving the objective of connecting with the industry.  He said that new skills for complex problem solving like Critical Thinking and Creativity are required for reorienting research for the benefit of industry. He gave a mantra to the scientists to Think Good, Do Good and Be Good so as to be of service to the great nation of ours.

     Prof. R. K. Sinha, Director, CSIR-CSIO while welcoming the chief guest highlighted the aims and goals of CSIO and its contribution in the field of science and technology. Prof. Sinha also presented an overview of the on-going projects and future plans of the organisation. Annual report of CSIO was also released both in print and electronic media as a commemoration of organisation’s support to the clean green initiative. He said while releasing the annual report of CSIO that the lab has CSIR-CSIO has developed a wide knowledgebase in the area of healthcare, clean water, precision farming and renewable energy for the Common Man. He said that 5 technologies have been transferred to the industry in the areas of biomedical devices, cockpit instrumentation and post-harvest agri-instrumentation. 12 MoUs and 7 Project Agreements with National and International institutes were signed, 9 Patents were granted and 79 SCI Journal research papers, 86 Conference papers and 12 Book Chapters have been published. 77 invited talks have been organized along with 31 Seminar Series lecture from India and abroad. He said that in the past year CSIO won many prestigious awards such as Young Scientist Award, IETE-FLT LT Tanmaya Singh Dandaaa Memorial Award, IEI Young Engineers Award, Certificate of Appreciation at National Conference of Social Innovation, Indian Young Leadership Award, Gold-Skoch Transformational Innovation award and  SKOCH order of merit award The function concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. H. K. Sardana, senior most Scientist of CSIO.

PGGC-11 Library in collaboration with State Bank Of India  as part of Vigilance Awareness Week organized a Poster making competition and Slogan writing competition .  The theme of the competition was given by Central Vigilance Commission for the Year 2018 “Eradicate Corruption – Build a New India" and “ भ्रष्टाचार मिटाओ- नयाभारत बनाओ ” ( in hindi). both  students and staff members participated in the event. Mrs. Renu Oberoi, Head, Library Department informed that the competition was organized  to make students aware of corruption - a social evil that is widespread in our society. Principal Prof. Rama Arora appreciated the zeal and enthusiasm of the participants and said that corruption needs to be eradicated so as to ensure the prosperity of a nation with an aim to impart quality life to it's citizens. ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਚ ਕਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਲਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਯਤਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਲਲਿਤ ਕਲਾ ਅਕਾਦਮੀ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਲਾ ਦੀ ਚਿਣਗ ਬਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ । ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਲਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਕਰਵਾ ਕੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਲਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲੜੀ ਤਹਿਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਲਲਿਤ ਕਲਾ ਅਕਾਦਮੀ 2 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੇਰੇ 10 ਵਜੇ ਫ਼ਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਆਰ. ਐਸ. ਡੀ. ਕਾਲਜ ਅਤੇ 3 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਾਜ਼ਿਕਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿਚ ਜਲਾਲਾਬਾਦ (ਪੱਛਮੀ) ਦੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਚ ਚਿੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਰੇਖਾ ਚਿੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਦੋਵਾਂ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਨਾਮਵਰ ਕਲਕਾਰ ਡਾ. ਬਲਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੰਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਰੂਬਰੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਗੇ । ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਲਲਿਤ ਕਲਾ ਅਕਾਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਉੱਘੇ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਦੀਵਾਨ ਮਾਨਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ 2 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਐਸਡੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਡਾ. ਗੰਭੀਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਲਾ ਦੀ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਦਿਲਚਸਪ ਲੈਕਚਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਡਾ. ਗੰਭੀਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਲਾ ਦੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਦੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਕ ਆਈਡਿਉ ਵੀਜ਼ਿਉਲ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਦਿਖਾਉਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੁਝ ਜਾਣਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ, ਮਾਨਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਤ ਹੋਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਡਾ. ਗੰਭੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਮੌਕੇ ’ਤੇ ਤੇਲ, ਚਾਰਕੋਲ ਅਤੇ ਐਕਰਿਲਿਕ ਚਿੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਮੂਨੇ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਦਿਖਾਉਣਗੇ। ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਹੋਏਗੀ ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਲਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੀਕੀਆਂ ਸਿਖਾਉਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਲੀ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਕਲਾ ਵਿਚ ਹੱਥ ਅਜ਼ਮਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ । ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ 3 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਲਾਲਾਬਾਦ (ਪੱਛਮੀ) ਵਿਖੇ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਵਿਚ ਜਸਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਲਾ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਢਲੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦੇਣ, ਉਪਰੰਤ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਲਾਕਾਰੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਕ ਆਡਿਉ-ਵੀਜ਼ੂਉਲ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ਦਿਖਾਉਣੇ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਕਲਾਕਾਰ ਮੌਕੇ ’ਤੇ ਹੀ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਲਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵੰਨਗੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਉਣਗੇ। ਫਿਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਲੀ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਕਲਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਕਲਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੀਕੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਕਣਗੇ । ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮਾਨਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਅਦਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਲਾ ਦੀ ਚਿਣਗ ਬਾਲਣ ਵਿਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹਰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਲਾ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਰੂਪ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਉਮਰ ਵਿਚ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਲਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵੇ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਕਲਾ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਲੱਖਣ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਬਣਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਲਲਿਤ ਕਲਾ ਅਕਾਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਇਹੀ ਮਕਸਦ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਖਿੱਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਨਵੇਂ ਕਲਾਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੰਗਰਨ ਦਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਅਕਾਦਮੀ ਉਭਰਦੇ ਕਲਾਕਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਖਾਰ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਲਾ-ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਲੜੀ ਤਹਿਤ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਚ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਦਿਅਕ ਅਦਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਕਲਾ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪਾਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹਿਣਗੀਆਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲਲਿਤ ਕਲਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆ । ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਅਯੋਜਨ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਵਿਚ ਆਰ ਐੱਸ ਡੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਕਪਿਲ ਦੇਵ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਘੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਦਮੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੁਕਰਗੁਜ਼ਾਰ ਹੈ ।

IT Fiesta was organized by the Post Graduate Department of Computer Science and Applications of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector-26, Chandigarh in collaboration with DST (Department of Science and Technology), Chandigarh Administration to promote awareness of Science and Technology amongst the youth.

   Students from 20 colleges from in and around the city participated in this event. Various competitions like Website designing, Debate, Cartooning, Software Development, Rangoli, Collage making, Software Debugging, Face Painting, Group Dance and e-Waste Modelling were held. Students enthusiastically participated in Presentation designing. There was also a dance performance which symbolized the fusion between technology and entertainment.

Dr. Karamjeet Singh, Registrar, Panjab University was the Chief Guest for the event. He notified that it is the time of Artificial intelligence but do not let it overpower you. He motivated girls to excel in a versatile manner. S. Gurdev Singh Brar President SES, S. Kulbir Singh Vice President SES and S. Karandeep Singh Cheema Joint Secretary SES were the Guests of honor for the event.

   S. Kulbir Singh was there to inspire students during the Valedictory Ceremony and gave away the prizes. He congratulated College and Department for organizing such an event and stressed on the importance of such competitions. College Principal, Dr. Jatinder Kaur appreciated the efforts of Computer Department and encouraged students to participate in such events to excel in all fields of life.

    Delegation of University of Fraser Valley (UFV), Canada led by Dr Joanne MacLean, President and Vice Chancellor, UFV and accompanied by Dr. Andy Sidhu, Chancellor, UFV, Prof. Satwinder Kaur Bains, Director, South Asian Studies Institute UFV & Principal; UFV India; University Advisor, Canada-India Relations and Mr. Gurneet Singh Anand, Associate Director of UFV Chandigarh visited Panjab University(PU), here today.  The interaction meet of the delegation of UFV with Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, PU in the presence of senior PU officials and faculty members was to take forward the long history of collaboration between the two institutions. PU VC stated that now the collaboration has matured well over the years and in addition to the regular faculty and student exchange programmes, urged to work towards big projects by 
establishing lab/centres in the common areas with research as priority. PU VC said that the need of hour is to focus about well being of humanity. He said that there is a wide gap between haves and have nots and India being strong in demography, there is a huge number of workable manpower available in the country which can be helpful for PU and UFV to come together for unparalleled collaborations. Dr Joanne MacLean while appreciating the vast range of activities of research at PU, said that strengthening the partnership further needs to be focused. She lauded PU’s identified current areas of research and future plans – Cyber Security and 
Artificial Intelligence, Cancer Research Institute, Green Technologies, Non-Conventional Energy and Medical Devices. A pledge taking ceremony to observe “Rashtriya Sankalp Diwas (National Rededication Day) & Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day)” was held today at the U.T Secretariat in the morning. Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, UT, Chandigarh administered the oaths to all the employees of the Secretariat. Senior officers of Chandigarh Administration & Chandigarh Police were also present during the ceremony. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) is the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Iron Man of India’s freedom struggle, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, lent his steely strength to India’s consolidation after Independence, in full measure. A new nation was born. The challenge of protecting its unity was evident. With amazing skill, the Sardar accomplished the task, and became Architect of the Unified India. On 31st October, therefore, the nation celebrates his birth anniversary as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, rejoicing over his precious legacy. As a fitting tribute to the builder of Indian unity, the day is marked by Run for Unity, March Past, Pledge ceremony to uphold the nation’s unity, Essay/Slogan/ Painting competition and seminar to highlight the Sardar’s role in India’s history. The Pledge taken on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) aims to foster and reinforce our dedication to preserve and strengthen unity, integrity and security of our nation.

     Rashtriya Sankalp Diwas (National Rededication Day) is observed every year to pay homage to the first woman Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi who had worked dedicatedly to safeguard national integration of the country. She strived to uphold the integrity of the country till her last breath on October 31, 1984.

Sh. VP Singh Badnore inaugurated the 'Run for Unity' from Sukhna Lake Chandigarh today to mark the celebrations of ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ (National Unity Day). Hundreds of people participated in this landmark event to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. Present among the galaxy of officers were Sh. Parimal Rai, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator, Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, IAS, Home Secretary, Sh. Ajoy Kumar Sinha, IAS, Finance Secretary, Sh. Sanjay Beniwal, IPS, DGP, Sh. KK Yadav, IAS, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Sh. Mandip Brar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh Administration. The Run for Unity began with the March Past by Police Department, and was followed by a pledge which was administered by the Hon’ble Governor. People from all walks of life took part in the Run for Unity at the Sukhna Lake. The 3 km run initiated from Sukhna Lake, and the participants followed the route that covered Capitol Complex as well. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, one of the founding fathers of the Republic of India was known for leading India’s freedom struggle and was influential in unifying the country. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm to preserve and strengthen unity, integrity and security of the nation.

Hon’ble Minister for Education, Punjab, Sh. O.P Soni today graced the second day of Zonal Youth Festival of IKG-PTU, Jalandhar at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh. S. Hardial Singh Kamboj, MLA, Rajpura; Sh. Madan Lal Jalalpur, MLA, Ghanaur; Sh. Shiv Kumar, SDM, Rajpura; DSP, Rajpura, Sh. Krishan Kumar Panthey etc were the Guests of Honour while Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function. 

    Around 5000 students of around 25 Colleges falling under 10 Districts of Punjab participated in various cultural activities of Youth Festival. Renowned Punjabi Singer Sajjan Adeeb also enthralled the audience his hit tracks. Sh. O.P. Soni congratulated the Students, Staff & Management of Aryans Group for successfully hosting the Youth Festival at Aryans Campus. He appraised the efforts made by Aryans in past also for emphasizing on Entertainment along with Education. 

     MLA Sh. Madan Lal Jalalpur while speaking on the occasion said that youth should be involved more into the co-curricular activities so that they can be involved into the mainstream of the society and can help in bringing the revolutionary change in the society. Dr.  Anshu Kataria while speaking on the occasion thanked IKG-PTU for allotting Youth fest to Aryans. He further said that Aryans would do it's best to make the fest successful. Under the Campaign Making Punjab Drug Free, Kataria appealed all the students to Be a Hero without Heroine (Drug). Second Day of youth festival observed various Cultural and Non Cultural activities including Mimicry, Mime, Skit, One Act Play, Bhangra, Indian Group Dance, Classical   Ins.(Pur.), Classical  Ins.(Non Pur.), Classical Vocal, Light Indian Vocal Solo, Folk Song, Elocution, Debate, Poem, Recitation, Rangoli, Poster  Making, Photography, Mehandi etc. On the occasion Minister also Honoured Govt. High School Sukhna Abnoo for extraordinary services to the society which was received by Sh. Chanchal Kataria, State Awardee, Muktsar Sahib, Sh. Harbans Lal, Sh. Surinder Setia, Sh. Rajneet Girdhar. DSP, Rajpura, Sh. Krishan Kumar Panthey; SHO, Rajpura, S. Balbir Singh Grewal; Sh.
