A warm send-off was accorded to Sh. K.K.
Sharma, IPS, who retired today on attaining the age of superannuation after
putting in over 32 years of service in various capacities. In his honour, a
farewell meeting was organized at Police Headquarters, Panchkula where Director
General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu, CMD Haryana Police Housing Corporation, Mr
Parminder Rai, DGP Haryana Human Rights Commission, Dr K.P. Singh, DGP Prisons,
Mr K. Selvaraj, DGP Headquarters, Mr K.K. Mishra, DGP Crime Mr P.K. Agrawal,
ADGP (law and order) Mohd. Akil, ADGP and CMD Power Utilities, Mr Shatrujeet
Singh Kapoor, ADGP Operations, Mr A.S. Chawla, IGP Admn. Dr M. Ravi Kiran, IG
Hisar Range, Mr Sanjay Kumar, IGP CFMS Mr Rajinder Kumar, IGP Mr
Sibash Kabiraj along with other senior Police Officers were present. All the
officers wished Mr Sharma a happy and healthy post retirement life. Mr Sharma
retired in the rank of DGP on attaining the age of superannuation. He was
posted as Director Vigilance HVPNL where he performed his duties with utmost
interest and dedication. Mr Sharma, who hails from district Yamunanagar was
inducted into Indian Police Service in year 1986. During his 32 years service,
he remained posted on various important key posts. In recognition to his
excellent services and devotion to duty throughout his services, he was
decorated with Police Medal in 2005 and again awarded with President’s Police
Medal in year 2012.
