Student Productions are the outlet for the creation of new innovations in the department. Students are able to apply knowledge and techniques learned in the classroom to rehearsal and play production. Students are encouraged to express themselves through directing, acting, design and production in a collective experimental atmosphere. Through these productions students are given the opportunity to think imaginatively in order to achieve their vision for the creative journey from the text to performance. They also learn various life skills. Our goal is to provide more opportunities for students as these productions are designed to be the practical extension of our students work in the classroom and we are reliant on the talents and energies of our students to be involved in almost every aspect of the productions.”- Dr. Navdeep Kaur, Chairperson, Department of Indian Theatre, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
