Two arrested for consuming liquor at public place Two different cases U/S 68-1(B) Punjab Police Act 2007 & 510 IPC have been registered in PS-IT Park, Chandigarh against two persons who were arrested while consuming liquor at public place on 01.02.2019. This drive will be continuing in future, the general public is requested for not breaking the law. Action against Gambling/Satta 

Chandigarh Police arrested Vishal R/o # 3081, DBC, Sec-25, Chandigarh and Amit Kumar R/o Jhuggi No. 5625, near Balmiki Mandir, Sec-25, Chandigarh while they were gambling near public toilet, Sector 25, Chandigarh on 01.02.2019. Total cash Rs. 1750/- and playing cards were recovered from them. In this regard, a case FIR No. 17, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail.Investigation of the case is in progress. One arrested for Theft A case FIR No. 32, U/S 379 added 411 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sh. Narinder Sharma R/o # 1256, Sec-33, Chandigarh who alleged that Amjad Ali R/o # 745, Burail, Chandigarh was stealing both number plates (front & rear) of complainant’s car No. PB-01A-9080 while parked near his house on 31.01.2019. Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress. Three arrested for deterring public servant while discharging govt. duty A case FIR No. 24, U/S 341, 323, 332, 353, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of Latif Khan, Driver of CTU Bus No. CH01GA-7024 who alleged that driver of Alto car No. HR16N0751 and driver of M/Cycle No. PB70D3341 and one other quarreled and beaten complainant while on govt. duty near Raipur Kalan barrier, Chandigarh on 01.02.2019. Alleged person namely Dinesh R/o # 1083/A, Saini Vihar, Ph-3, Baltana, Zirakpur (PB), Shiv Charan and Balwan R/o # 1084 Saini Vihar Ph-3 Baltana, Zirakpur (PB) have been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress. 
One arrested for Eve-teasing A lady alleged that Shankar Pandit R/o # 1216/1, Sector-40/B, Chandigarh harassed & eve-teased complainant near Bus Stand, Maloya, Chandigarh on 30.01.2019. A case FIR No. 16, U/S 354, 354-A IPC has been registered in PS-Maloya, Chandigarh.  Alleged person has been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress. Moter Vehicle Theft Joginder Singh R/o # 3138, BJ Enclave, Sector-50/D, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Aviator Scooter No. CH04H9212 from parking near Toilet, Market Sector-8, Chandigarh on 30.01.2019. A case FIR No. 31, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-03, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 2, Nikesh R/o # 24 Village-Kaimbwala, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH01BR1711 from parking near SCO No. 121, Sec-34, Chandigarh. A case FIR No. 33, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress. 3, A lady resident of Sector 41C, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen away Tata 407 Truck No. CH01TA4147 and one generator from near her residence on the night intervening 30/31-01-2019. A case FIR No. 23, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Snatching A lady resident of Balongi Mohali (PB) alleged that 2 unknown persons occupant of Activa Scooter sped away after snatching her mobile phone near light point Sector 18/19, Chandigarh on 01.02.2019. A case FIR No. 16, U/S 356, 379 IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Newborn found A case FIR No. 16, U/S 318 IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh against unknown person who left newborn baby who was found dead near boundary wall of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Jungle Area Sector-25 Chandigarh on 01.02.2018. Investigation of the case is in progress.
