Anti-Encroachment Drive continues in Sector 22- More
Illegal Vendors removed

The anti encroachment drive was continued in Sector 22 Shastri Market and
surrounding areas wherein the illegal vendors ( without any license) were
removed. Sh. Mandip Singh Brar, Deputy Commissioner, Smt. Nilambari Jagadale,
SSP were also present at site today to reviewed the drive. Further, action will
be taken against Shopkeepers of the Shastri Market for encroaching upon common
spaces and walls. The drive will continue till all the illegal vendors are
removed from the site. Only the vendors with license will be allowed to sit at
their earmarked sites, whereas others will be challenged. Till now, 49 challans
have been issued and goods were seized.
