Prof selected in the Governing Counsel of FTII

Prof Archana R Singh, Chairperson of the School of Communication Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh has been unanimously selected as the member of the Governing Council and the Academic Council of Film and Television Institute of India(FTII), Pune. Prof Singh was nominated last month by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as a member of the Society of FTII. With this selection Prof Singh becomes the member of top administrative and academic bodies of the prestigious institute. Prof Singh has plans for bringing the facilities and expertise available in FTII to Chandigarh by forging collaboration between PU and FTII. This would enable the city students aspiring to attend courses in the area of Film Studies to get an opportunity in Chandigarh itself. It is the first time that any faculty member, PU has been selected for all the three bodies of FTII.
